Math myths have existed since the begining of time. Some of them are more laughable whereas others are argued by very realistic people. Here below are some common math myths:

1) People who are good at math are geniuses: People who are successful in math are more likely to be smarter than others who are successful in other fields (English, Art, etc.). studies have proven that this is not true 2) Men are better in math than women: Most people think that men are better in math than women, but studies prove that there are no relationship between gender and math abilities. 3) Need a good memory to be successful in math: People think that in order to do well in math, one needs to recall all the formulas from one’s memory. However, rather than knowing all the formulas from memory, it is more important to know the concepts of math. 4) Who needs math?: Many people believe in this myth. However, simple math such as adding and subtracting help us with our daily tasks. More complicated math are used for other fields such as Architecture or zoology.
