The X-Nilo Show Video (Dinosaurs and the Bible)
1 Dinosaur Witness card from Answers In Genesis

Open with prayer - and read the memory verse together:

And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth…. Genesis 1:21a

Begin by talking about what it might have been like in God's perfect world before the fall. There was no death, no illness, no tooth aches, no ear aches, no colds or allergies, etc. The animals were all friendly - Adam got to see them all and name them. He wasn't afraid. See what things the children can think of that might have been different then.

Have them write down their ideas on a sheet of plain paper for their book.

Teacher reviews writing and explains errors. When work is error free, have the children draw and color a picture to go along with their story.

Ask the children if they know what happened to change everything in God's perfect world. Read Genesis 3:1-24. Discuss the fall and what it meant to mankind and the world. Go over how true God's Word is - pointing out how snakes do go on their bellies and eat dust (verse 14). God talks about animals a lot in the Bible - He knows them well, because He made them all. Talk about the curse of the ground (verses 17 & 18) and what that means for us today. This is also a good place to emphasize how important it is for us to obey God today - and how much we need Jesus.

Look up any unfamiliar words. (Perfect / Deceived / Tempted) Study spelling words.

Take a break - Do the reptile rumba! Dance, stretch and move around.

Watch the X-Nilo Show Video (approx. 30 minutes). Talk about the video to answer any questions.

Clean up and put everything away.

Share it. Give the children 1 Dinosaur Witness card from Answers In Genesis. Read the card and then challenge them to have at least one person who doesn't know much about dinosaurs read it within the next week.
