Peanut Butter Mustache Maker
Teaching measuring and hand/eye coordination can be as easy as your next snack recipe … and just as fun! Its also a great exercise in reading skills and the ability to follow directions.
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon honey
2 large marshmallows (optional)
Directions:
1. In a sauce pan heat milk till tiny bubbles form around the edges. But do not boil.
2. Pour milk into a blender container.
3. Add peanut butter and honey to milk in blender.
4. Cover and blend till smooth.
5. Pour mixture into two coffee cups or tea cups.
6. If desired, top each with a marshmallow.
Here are the alternative microwave directions:
In a two cup, microwave-safe container, microwave milk on HIGH (100%) power for two to two and a half minutes or until very hot. Do not boil the milk! Then, continue as directed in the above recipe.
