Fun Food: Mamma Mia Popcorn

Popcorn is one of the easiest and tastiest treats available to kids. Plain popcorn is nutritious yet low in calories. Here’s a fun activity for the kids to try. It may become a movie time or snack time favorite!

Ingredients:

8 cups of popped popcorn (about 6 tablespoons unpopped popcorn kernels)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon Italian dressing mix

Directions:

1. Place the popcorn in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the melted butter or margarine over the popcorn and then toss to coat evenly.

2. Add the dry salad dressing mix to the popcorn. Toss the popcorn and mix gently till well mixed.

Yield: approximately 8 cups of popped popcorn.
