Rocky Road Frosting

This is such a fun project for the kids. It makes their treats super special. Let them serve a homemade cake and their special frosting after the family dinner and watched the mouths start to water and the grins stretch wide!

Ingredients:

1 can (about 16 oz.) dark Dutch fudge frosting
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

1. Heat the frosting in a saucepan over low heat until frosting is liquid, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Remove it from heat source.

2. Stir in one cup miniature mashmallows and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Pour the frosting over a cooled cake (banana is a yummy choice) and spread it with a spatula.

You can use the nuts left over from a fall harvest if you've have a mind to. It doesn't really matter what kind of nuts you use, you can even used a mixed variety left over from baking cookies or baklava.
