Fun Food: Breakfast Banana Split

Here's another recipe by Marianne E. Dambra. This is a fun one, especially for the morning after a sleepover or a late night nature expedition. She even made it healthy and nutritious! But you don’t have to tell the kids that.

Ingredients:

1 small banana
1 container (4 oz.) low fat yogurt
1/2 c. Alpha-Bits cereal
1/4 c. grapes and strawberries

Directions:

1. Peel and split banana lengthwise.

2. Place in a cereal dish and top with yogurt.

3. Sprinkle with cereal and fruit.

The kids can do most, if not all, of the preparation themselves. Little ones may need help cutting the banana and strawberries. Enjoy!
