Fall Fun: Maple Candy
Here is a mock maple candy. You use maple-flavored pancake syrup and then refrigerate the candy after forming. Sweet and rich and a great project for the kids to get their hands into.
Ingredients:
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. corn syrup, maple flavored (or maple flavored pancake syrup)
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 1/4 c. powdered non-fat milk
Directions:
1. In large bowl, mix all ingredients.
2. Roll into little balls the size of walnuts.
3. Refrigerate one to two hours.
Best if made a day ahead of serving time. You may also roll the balls in finely shredded coconut or chopped pecans and placed on waxed paper lined cookie sheets until chilled.
Makes about 5 dozen.
