Fun Food: Oatmeal Candy

Easy to measure ingredients and mixing plus a yummy treat as a result adds up to big fun! Get the little ones in on a fun math activity or let older ones fix their own sleepover treats. Either way, a not to miss treat.

Ingredients:

2 c. sugar
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. oatmeal


Directions:

1. Mix sugar and cocoa together.

2. Add milk.

3. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 1/2 minutes.

4. Remove from heat and add oatmeal.

5. Drop on wax paper with a teaspoon and allow to cool.
