Fun Food: Cake in an Orange
After all the educational hiking and ranger programs it will be time for a treat. This is a truly fun way to round out a camp out.
Ingredients:
1 white or yellow cake mix
Cake mix ingredients called for on box
10 to 12 oranges
Directions:
1. Mix cake mix according to package directions.
2. Slice off the 1/3 top of oranges.
3. Spoon fruit out of bottom 2/3 of oranges, leaving an empty shell. You don't have to clean off the lid portion you cut off.
4. Fill the hollow shell 1/2 full with cake batter.
5. Place lid back on orange.
6. Wrap orange in 6x6" piece of foil.
7. Place in coals 10 to 15 minutes.
Yields 10 to 12 servings.
