Fun Food: Dutch Oven Biscuits
This is great as an experiment in pioneer cooking or as a special treat on a camping trip. Just use a campfire or charcoal fire and a dutch oven.
Ingredients:
3 c. flour
6 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. cooking oil
1 c. milk
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients.
2. Roll on flat, floured surface; cut out and place in bottom of Dutch oven.
3. Cover with lid and bake about 15 minutes.
Yield: Makes about 30 biscuits.
