Fall Fun: Lizard Skins

In Florida we have a lot of lizards. The kids love to try and catch them. You have to be careful not to pull their tails off though! So I decided to do a unit on lizards and here is one of the activities that we included just for fun.

Ingredients:

1/2 c Peanut butter
12 oz Marshmallows
4 drops Green food coloring
4 c Rice krispies; cheerios or corn flakes
non-stick pan spray
16 Raisins

Directions:

1. Heat peanut butter with marshmallows in a large saucepan over low heat until melted.

2. Add green food coloring and mix in. Pour in cereal and stir quickly.

3. Spray 8" pan with pam then pour contents into pan.

4. Allow to cool in fridge, then cut into long thin strips, about 1" x 4".

5. Cut each raisin in half and stick on one end of each strip to make the lizard's eyes.
