Fall Fun: Skeleton Bread
This is a really fun and simple activity perfect for accompanying a lesson on bones. You could also use this as a funny bread to accompany a meal. Good way to get the kids to eat the crust of the bread.
Ingredients:
1/2 pkg frozen bread dough [8 oz]
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp water
Directions:
1. Punch down dough; divide in half. (Each person gets 1/2 of 1 loave)
2. Set one half aside.
3. Cut remaining half into thirds.
4. With one of the thirds, form head shaped like a light bulb.
5. Create eyes, nose and mouth.
6. Add additional bones using remaining bread
7. Bake in 375F oven for about 15 minutes or until golden.
