Homemade Gifts: Simmering Potpourri
Here's a nice, simple homemade gift idea. You could dress it up by adding a homemade container or by adding it to a basket of home baked goodies.
Project Supplies:
1 oz. can cinnamon sticks, broken into small pieces
1 (1.12 oz.) can whole cloves
1 (1.25 oz.) can whole allspice
Project Directions:
Combine all ingredients. Place 1 heaping teaspoon and 1/2 cup of water in simmer pot and heat. I also dry orange peels and add these to the mixture.
Note: You can get inexpensive store brands at several discount stores, outlets, and warehouse stores. Simply measure out the amount you need from the larger container of spice.
