Geography Links on the Web
Updated 12/07
I definitely have a love of geography. If possible, my husband and children love it even more. What I find passing strange is that many people seem to either consider it boring or have a fear of teaching it.
Geography is fun!! And it is certainly more than just dry map activities. Geography is about the physical world around you. Geography helps you to navigate. Geography can you take you any place on this world ... and out to space and other planets.
No matter where you look you see geography is some form or another. Go to a beach, that's geography. Climb a hill or mountain, that's geography. Take a walk through a valley or meadow, that's geography. Explore underwater caves or deep sea fissures, that's geography too!
Below are some links to resources and activities that will help you teach this subject and have fun with it as well. While this list is currently small, more links will be added in the coming weeks. As always, if you have any links that you would like to see included in this list, please feel free to contact me using the "Feedback" button on the left-hand side of the page.
