Research Project:
Famous Person of Ancient Israel

Here’s an interesting way to introduce how to do person-specific research papers. This will give you some ideas on how to make the research paper creative and nice looking.

First, you’ll want to choose a person from ancient Israel to do research on. Here are some that you might want to try.

Aaron
Abraham
David
Deborah
Isaac
Jacob
Joseph
Joshua
Judah Maccabee
Moses
Saul/Paul
Solomon

After you have completed gathering your research notes, write a report on your person. Try and keep this to one page. Include information about that person’s accomplishments. You could also tell why that person is important in Jewish history.

Once you have the final version of your report ready, print it out on the computer or using your neatest handwriting. Set this aside for a moment.

On a sheet of paper roughly the same size as your report, draw an event from that person’s life. Or, draw a map of an event (such as a battle) or city where that person lived.

Now, take a 12-inch by 18-inch sheet of construction paper and fold it in half. Glue your report page on the inside, left-hand page of the construction paper. Glue the picture or map on the inside, right-hand side of the construction paper.

You can use this as a display board. To make your display last longer or be more resilient, you could cover it with clear contact paper.
