Homemade Cranberry Relish
Cranberry relish is an integral part of many people's Thanksgiving celebrations. Here is a version that you can make at home, just like Grandma.
Ingredients:
2 c. cranberries
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 lemon, squeezed and quartered
1/2 c. walnuts, optional
Directions:
1. Wash and pick over cranberries.
2. Place in food processor along with sugar, lemon juice and lemon quarters.
3. Process until well blended and shredded.
4. Stir in nuts if you decide to use them.
5. Place in jars and refrigerate.
This is best after 24 hours, and will keep for about a week. Great make-ahead condiment for a feast.
