Celebrating Independence Day:
Shortcake Kabobs
This is the last article in the series on “Celebrating Independence Day.” To cap it off, this is the recipe for a fun picnic … or anytime … snack. The kids will get a blast out of putting these together. They are very tasty!
Strawberry Shortcake Kabobs
Ingredients:
12 medium strawberries
12 donut holes
6 8 inch bamboo skewers
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
Directions:
1. Alternately thread 2 strawberries and 2 donut holes on each skewer.
2. In small saucepan, melt chocolate chips and butter; blend well.
3. Drizzle chocolate mixture over strawberries and donut holes.
4. Refrigerate till set.
