Lime Ice Cream
In honor of July being National Ice Cream Month, today's flavor is "Lime Ice Cream".
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. lime juice, fresh
2 t. lime peel, grated
¼ t. green food color
2 c. light cream
2 c. heavy cream
Directions:
1. Beat eggs and sugar until light colored and sugar is dissolved.
2. Add corn syrup, lime juice, lime peel, and food color.
3. In a separate bowl, lightly whip the light and heavy cream together. Add to egg-sugar mixture and mix well.
4. Place mixture into ice cream churn and freeze according to ice cream maker directions.
Yield: ½ gallon ice cream
