"Taft was a brilliant student and loved school. He always got good grades. Like Teddy Roosevelt he championed the average American. While President, he was responsible for making conditions in factories better for workers.

Taft didn't want to be President as muc has he longed to be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court -- which is exactlywhat he became some years after he left office. He was much happier as a judge than as President."
