Learning about Trigonometry

Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that study branch of triangles and their sides and angles that are related to each other. Trigonometry can help explain cyclical phenomena such as waves and triangles of spheres which are useful for astronomy and navigation. The trigonometric functions include cosecant, cosine, cotangent, secant, sine and tangent. With the unit circle, you can solve the trigonometric function. You can relate non-right angle to right triangle to the ratio of the lengths of any two sides of the triangle.

Trigonometry is often referred to as Trig. Trig is a complex subject that is introduced in 10th or 11th grade. It is often not a required subject meaning some schools and students learn about while others do not. Trig is helpful for students interested in an engineering career and it of course also is applicable to physics, chemistry, and science.
