Bread Machine: Black Walnut Bread

Black walnuts are different from English walnuts so check which variety you have. Black walnuts have a much stronger and distinct flavor. Always be sure and list the ingredients on homemade, edible gifts so that the person receiving it can check for food allergies and sensitivies before they take the first bite.

Ingredients are for a small loaf.

Cycle: white, sweet
Setting: light

Ingredients:

3/4 cup buttermilk
1 T. walnut oil
2 T. honey
1/4 t. salt
1/4 t. baking soda
1/4 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup oats
1 1/2 cups bread flour
1 t. yeast

1/3 cup chopped black walnuts

Follow your machine's directions, placing ingredients in the machine in the proper order. Set your cycle and setting and process per owner's manual.
